Simpatetik, energetik, empatetik, dan sinergetik

Di dalam bahasa Indonesia ada empat kata benda yang diambil dari bahasa Inggris: sympathy, energy, empathy, dan synergy. Definisi masing-masing mereka, menurut Webster, adalah sebagai berikut.
sym·pa·thy, n., pl. -thies, adj. — n.
1. harmony of or agreement in feeling, as between persons or on the part of one person with respect to another.
2. the harmony of feeling naturally existing between persons of like tastes or opinion or of congenial dispositions.
3. the fact or power of sharing the feelings of another, esp. in sorrow or trouble; fellow feeling, compassion, or commiseration.
4. sympathies,
a. feelings or impulses of compassion.
b. feelings of favor, support, or loyalty: It's hard to tell where your sympathies lie.
5. favorable or approving accord; favor or approval: He viewed the plan with sympathy and publicly backed it.
6. agreement, consonance, or accord.
7. Psychol. a relationship between persons in which the condition of one induces a parallel or reciprocal condition in another.
8. Physiol. the relation between parts or organs whereby a condition or disorder of one part induces some effect in another.
en·er·gy, n., pl. -gies.
1. the capacity for vigorous activity; available power: I eat chocolate to get quick energy.
2. an adequate or abundant amount of such power: I seem to have no energy these days.
3. Often, energies. a feeling of tension caused or seeming to be caused by an excess of such power: to work off one's energies at tennis.
4. an exertion of such power: She plays tennis with great energy.
5. the habit of vigorous activity; vigor as a characteristic: Foreigners both admire and laugh at American energy.
6. the ability to act, lead others, effect, etc., forcefully.
7. forcefulness of expression: a writing style abounding with energy.
8. Physics. the capacity to do work; the property of a system that diminishes when the system does work on any other system, by an amount equal to the work so done; potential energy. Symbol: E
9. any source of usable power, as fossil fuel, electricity, or solar radiation.

syn·er·gy, n., pl. -gies.
1. combined action or functioning; synergism.
2. the cooperative action of two or more muscles, nerves, or the like.
3. the cooperative action of two or more stimuli or drugs.
Ketiga kata itu diserap menjadi simpati, energi, empati dan sinergi. Arti ketiga kata ini menurut KBBI adalah sebagai berikut:
simpati:
(1) rasa kasih; rasa setuju (kpd); rasa suka;
(2) keikutsertaan merasakan perasaan (senang, susah, dsb) orang lain
energi:
daya (kekuatan) untuk melakukan berbagai proses kegiata; tenaga.
empati:
keadaan mental yang membuat seseorang mengidentifikasikan atau merasa dirinya dalam keadaan perasaan atau pikiran yang sama dengan orang atau kelompok lain.
sinergi:
kerjasama antara orang atau organisasi yang hasil keseluruhannya lebih besar daripada jumlah hasil yang dicapai jika masing-masing bekerja sendiri.
Keempat kata dari bahasa Inggris tersebut memiliki turuan kata sifat masing:
sympathy yaitu sympathetic;
energy yaitu energetic;
empathy yaitu empathetic atau empathic;
synergy yaitu synergetic.
Sementara di dalam bahasa Indonesia, kata-kata benda tersebut memiliki kata sifat:
simpati yaitu simpatik;
energi yaitu energik;
empati dan sinergi tidak ada kata sifat turunan mereka (KBBI edisi 1989).
Jika mengikuti azas penyerapan yang benar maka seharusnya menjadi simpatetik, energetik, empatetik atau empatik, dan sinergetik. Artinya, penyerapan ketiga kata itu tidak taat azas karena kita justru mengubah kata aslinya ketika diserap ke dalam bahasa Indonesia.
Khusus untuk kata sinergi, definisi yang diberikan oleh KBBI dengan Webster sebenarnya lebih sesuai dengan kata synergism daripada dengan synergy karena synergism, menurut Webster, adalah
syn·er·gism, n.
1. the interaction of elements that when combined produce a total effect that is greater than the sum of the individual elements, contributions, etc.
2. the joint action of agents, as drugs, that when taken together increase each other's effectiveness (contrasted with antagonism).
3. Theol. the doctrine that the human will cooperates with the Holy Ghost in the work of regeneration. Cf. monergism.
Namun, KBBI memiliki lema sinergisme sendiri yang diartikan sebagai
hubungan antara dua parameter atau lebih.
Artinya, sinergisme di dalam lema KBBI tidak berasal dari synergism. Saya tidak menemukan di Webster kata yang menjadi akar kata sinergisme. Namun, jika mengikuti azas penyerapan secara terbalik, maka sinergisme seharusnya berasal dari synergism--yang ternyata tidak.
